Zip-Line – at Neemrana with Flying Fox!!!

Zipping - Flying fox (11)

Zip-Line is an adventure sport where cable is fixed at both ends and runs through one or more pulleys attached to it propelled by gravity. In order to be propelled by gravity, the cable needs to be on a fairly steep slope. Even then travelling completely to the end depends on the load and some means of safely stopping the participants at the bottom end is needed. With our luxury stay at the heritage Neemrana Fort Palace, we decided to mix adventure as well to make our trip more exciting. We got the information about Zip-Line from the hotel and confirmed our participation for next day. Zip-Line activity near Neemrana is managed by “Flying Fox” and they have set-up a 5 stage Zip-Line totalling 1,250 metres of flight at the Aravalli Mountains in Rajasthan. The activity is managed by trained professionals and takes around 2.5 hours including a small trek to the highest point.

On a pleasant and clear day we set ourselves up in sports gear to experience the Zipping activity amidst the beautiful backdrop of Neemrana Fort and Aravalli Hills. We reported to the Flying Fox office where they gave us the equipment for zipping as well as briefing & instructions for the activity. We started our trek towards starting point of the activity and it took us 20 minutes through the terrains of Aravilli Hills. It was a nice trek through green cover where we heard chirping of birds and spotted peacock. Getting close to the nature is always beautiful. The expert gave us pre-zipping training on a small stretch of Zip-Line separate from the main Zip-Line.

Finally, we were in front of the Zip-Line watching the trail with a mix of enthusiasm and anxiety. The moment has arrived and as always I was the first of the lot to get started. With all safety gears on and it was time to get set go. In no time, I was racing through the air with a majestic view of Neemrana Fort, city, hills, and was sliding through Zip-Line at full pace. We all arrived one after other and descended towards another Zip-Line and completed all five in no time. The feeling of a free fall towards the gravity was an experience that I will remember forever. During sliding I wished that I could fly and have this amazing view at will. These five separate zip lines definitely gives you speed, excitement and amazing views.

Zip Lining is what I am quiet familiar with so did with this venue Neemrana Fort Palace. Thanks for sharing this post as it reminds me of my wonderful experience of zip lining at Neemrana Fort Palace. I have one suggest for all that if you are planning to go for zipping at Neemrana Fort Palace than you should get it booked in advance from the Flying Fox Official website http://www.flyingfox.asia/destinations/index/Neemrana which will allow you to have some big discounts and a free entry to the fort as well.
